Life With the Bussis'- 2.20.17

We had a much better week this week, well, at least I did. :) My antibiotics started to kick in after a few days and my head no longer felt like it was going to explode. It still took about a week for me to stop blowing out junk :), but we're all good now and thankfully no one else got that horrible sinus infection. The boys have a cough now, but as long as they don't run around too much (which is very hard for them) they are fine. Anna is getting her bottom molars so is unhappy at times (yesterday morning was the first time I remember being told she was fussy in the nursery). So hopefully those molars pop through soon. She still only has her two front teeth in the front, I don't know what's taking the next two so long to come in, but it's going to look kind of funny with her two front teeth and then the molars on the bottom. :) Oh well...
She'll still be adorable :)

I wanted to get a picture of each of the kids to send their grandparents on Valentine's Day. Here's David

This is how Jonathan wanted to be photographed :)

Our sweetheart

My big boy!

Anna loves to have you put sunglasses on her.

Giggling is usually involved

She also loves putting things on her head. :) Such a cute Firefighter!

We had to go to Costco and they were very good, so they got a cinnamon stick

Anna was very good too, so she got to get in on the cinnamon stick too :)

We've had some "warmer" days so we enjoyed getting to go outside (believe it or not she really wanted to go outside, I know she looks excited here :))

Her first time walking in shoes. She was not a fan at first

But she got the hang of it pretty quickly and now asks to have her shoes on

Loving getting to ride his bike!

We went out to dinner at Olive Garden one night (got a coupon for $1 kids meals!!). Anna was a big fan of the bread sticks (as well as the pasta she shared with Micah)

Oh David, loves to keep his hood on

Micah

And this is how Jonathan was when I went to take his picture, silly boy

Now he's sitting up, but of course won't look at me :)

Saturday I was nice so I wanted to try to take Anna's 1 year pictures. We went to the playground at school, she was more interested in exploring than standing still to have her picture taken :)

The boys of course found a nice muddy puddle to jump in

I actually got to go to a basketball game with Steve Saturday night! Our boys were in the championship game for their district and our neighbors graciously offered to watch our kids so I could go! We have the best neighbors!!

She is now a big fan of shoes and it's just so fun to put her in them! She just looks so grown up though!

I also love getting to do her hair. She has some curls now, so fun!

More things on her head :)

Life over here, always craziness going on :)

I let Anna have a piece of a big chocolate chip cookie, I think she liked it :)

I was trying to get a picture of her in this outfit to send to my friend who gave her the outfit, this was the best I could get, in motion with her mouth wide open :) That's life with a toddler on the move :)

Life with the Bussis'- 2.13.17

It was a pretty rough week around here. We did find out Tuesday morning that David did not break his foot, so that was a blessing (the thought of having a 4 year old boy in a cast was a bit overwhelming). He's still walking on the heal of his foot but I don't know if that's because it still hurts or he's just used to that now or he's afraid it will hurt. If he's still walking like that in a few days the doctor wants us to come back in. Then Tuesday night I had a horrible night of sleep and my head hurt so bad from being stuffed up. The rest of the week I was pretty much down and out with a horrible sinus infection. I don't have a doctor here, so I couldn't just call them up to ask for something. Finally Friday I couldn't take it any more, I called Steve at work crying asking if he could come home so I could go to Urgent Care. :) Thankfully he could and I got some antibiotics along with a slue of other things to take and have started to feel better. But it's just not good when Mom is sick and can't do much. The boys watched a lot of tv last week and played a lot of Mario Kart :), but they will survive. Thankfully it seems everyone else in the house avoided this and hopefully we'll soon experience a healthy household! So because of all that, I really don't have a lot of pictures.
Although the big news in our house this past week is Anna is now a walker!!
She must have decided this walking thing wasn't so bad. :) If she needs to get somewhere in a hurry she'll crawl, but otherwise she pretty much walks everywhere. No running yet, thankfully :).

Getting steady on her feet

Micah made me this sweet card (although if I'm really as big as he drew me it's a good thing I started a 21 day challenge today :))

Steve had some Christmas money to spend, so he got some cross-country skis and has enjoyed getting some exercise skiing in the field behind our house

Not so sure about that brother :)

She's gotten really good at putting the coins in the pig

And she's always very proud of herself :)

Anna helping Mommy feel better by snuggling with me

Micah had a Valentine's party at school today (he doesn't have school on Tuesdays) and I hadn't gotten any Valentines for him to give his classmates and since I didn't feel like going out, it just seemed easier to make cookies :) So here he is cutting out the heart cookies

We usually go out to eat once a week but I didn't feel like it on Friday night and Steve was going to a basketball game on Saturday night, so we went out to lunch on Saturday. The boys love going to Firehouse Subs where they get a fire helmet

Anna got to get in on the grilled cheese sandwich

When we got home Micah got to frost the cookies

Anna got a package from a lady from our church in Michigan who was very close to our family and the lady made her this adorable sweater and gave her the cutest rain boots!! Have I ever said that girls are so much fun!! :) (Boy are too, just not so much when it comes to clothes :))

Looking snazzy for church

I bought this dress for Anna to take her 1 year pictures in, which of course I haven't gotten to, but since it's Valentine's Day this week I thought it'd be fun to have her wear it to church. She looked so cute!!

Our little pink princess!

There was a potluck after church and Steve and Micah stayed for it. So I was sitting at the table at home and saw Micah outside playing with a friend. It was kind of nice to see him playing with a boy, usually at church he's surrounded by girls :)

Writing out his Valentines for his classmates. Thankfully he only has 15 kids in his class, that was a lot of names to write out :)

Look what Anna discovered!

Ever since we moved here I have had a bottle rack on our counter. Today I threw away all the bottles and put away the bottle rack, what to do with space now :)

Life with the Bussis'- 2.6.17

It's been quite a week over here. My dad was suppose to join my mom here last Saturday but unfortunately wasn't able to come due to work problems. The boys (and me :)) were pretty disappointed but still had a fun couple of days with my mom.
Anna was a big fan of the fact that Grandma let her play with her phone (something Mommy does not let her do). And of course you need one hand on the phone and one hand in a glove, ready to punch anyone who tries to take her phone away :)

Decked out in the cute outfit Auntie Tracie got her for her birthday.

This is how she thought she should accessorize her outfit :)

Daddy is just so much fun!!

We went to Fuddruckers on Monday night (Anna had a free kid's meal :)). Grandma even got in on the gaming fun!

Obviously she did not eat her kids meal (I did :), it's the perfect size hamburger!)

We made it back home after taking Mom to the airport in a snow storm! :) And yes, Anna is in her pajamas, I decided if we ended up in a ditch this way she would stay warm :)

We decided since it was snowing like crazy outside, it was a good morning to make some cookies!

Anna got a new bath toy for her birthday (it was a big hit with her brothers)

We've spent quite a bit of time playing Mario Kart (due to all the snow and cold outside :))

Anna LOVES her riding toy!

She also loves her smoothies for breakfast. So Anna started having goopy eyes on Thursday. At first I thought it was allergies (I was having allergies, go figure in freezing snowy weather!) and it improved a little with allergy medicine, but I decided to take her in to the doctor on Friday and discovered it was a virus in her eyes. So we've been having to give her eye drops 4 times a day which she is actually pretty good about getting.

Anna has been working on her walking. She can take quite a few steps but always ends up back to crawling :)

Now doesn't this just look like trouble!?

Pretty much! :)

Now she's not trouble

They really are fun to get to hang out with

We all went to a basketball game on Saturday night. It was the C squad so it was in the small gym and not such a big crowd so we didn't have to worry as much about the twins being a pain :)

Since it was a small crowd they were able to do this:
They did this over and over again, they were sweaty by the end. :) But they slept great!

Reading some music

It was good to see her smile after having kind of a crummy day with her eyes (and she also had a terrible diaper rash)

Now she's accessorizing her pajamas :)

We went to our neighbors' for their son's one year birthday party (he and Anna are just 10 days apart) and Micah and Iris decided they wanted to be the super heros at the party :)

And then yesterday Jonathan decided to push David off the footrest and David landed funny and hasn't walked since, so I took him to the doctor today (they're starting to recognize me there).

After checking out his foot the doctor sent us to the hospital to get x-rays. I have to say, David did sooo well! He had to hold his foot still in funny positions and he did such a great job! He was very fascinated that they were taking pictures of his foot.

Back at the doctor's office after x-rays

The doctor showing David his x-rays. The doctor didn't see anything and figures it's just sore tendons that should heal up soon.
And then I got a phone call a few minutes ago from the doctor saying he had sent the x-rays to radiology just to have them take a look and they think they might see a slight fracture in on of the bones on top :(. So they have now sent the x-rays to an orthopedic specialist to have him take a look, but he's in surgery right now so we won't hear back from him until tomorrow. In the mean time David has started walking on it because I told him it's not hurt and the doctor said he could walk on it. :) The doctor said if it is broke they don't always do anything about it because it is so slight, but we will see.

Since he was such a good boy through it all I took him out to lunch at Arby's. It was not the circumstances I would have wanted, but it actually was kind of fun just getting to spend a morning with David. He was absolutely loving getting all the attention and was quite the character with the doctor and x-ray tech.
So we will wait and see what they see tomorrow.
