Life With the Bussis'- 9.24.17

Okay, I'm going to attempt to play catch-up here. Life has been busy, good, but busy but I will try to not overwhelm you with all the details of our crazy life. :)
Micah started 1st grade!

All ready for a new school year!

We all went to the convocation chapel the first day of school and these two insisted they needed to wear their backpacks to school

And then Anna insisted she also needed her picture taken

A different experience than I had (having the last name VandenHeuvel) Micah get's to be the first kid alphabetically in his class. :)

After convocation the rest of us headed out for a hike. Steve had asked if we should do it without Micah, I reminded him Micah is the worst to take hiking, he's such a wimp :). Of course the twins also thought we had to rest at every bench we saw.

Anna got to take in the hike on Mommy's back

We made it to the M!! This was the first time the kids made it all the way to the top.

The twins were pretty excited to get to sit on the M that we always see from the car. It was also really sweet for me to see them kind of find each other again. We had a good summer, but Jonathan got along a little better with Micah than David so they didn't always play the best together. But now with Micah back in school they're back to being "best brothers" as they call each other

We had a fire the first night of school.

They boys have talked Mommy into making shakes for them a number of times :)

Anna loves playing with the train set (especially when she gets it to herself)

The boys love to help mommy do self checkout at Walmart.

After going to Walmart and Costco I still had to go to another store because Costco didn't have the right yogurt, but the boys didn't mind because the third store had this fun cutout to take a picture in :)

Anna got ahold of the hose, and thought it was pretty fun

How I workout a lot of days, with an audience messing up my nicely made bed

The twins and I gook a few bike rides through town

My brother got this little mower for Micah on his first birthday, it has been well played with by all our kids

Anna and I had a girls' night one night and I painted her toe nails to match my fingers.

I stuck her in her bath chair to keep her still :)

We had a lot of fun with just us girls

And while we painted toenails Steve and the boys went to the racetrack

They thought it was pretty fun!

We went to Qdoba for dinner one night and the boys wanted to sit at their own table, they thought it was pretty fun.

Poor Anna was stuck with Mommy and Daddy, but she didn't seem to mind

After dinner we walked across the parking lot to Kohl's and Jonathan insisted he needed to hold Anna's hand, it was so precious!

Someone from church got me a pair of cowgirl boots (every Montana girl needs cowgirl boots!) so here Anna and I are wearing our boots

On Labor Day we finally made our way to Yellowstone (after living here for a year and a half). We timed it perfect that we got to Old Faithful just as it was ready to go off!

Checking out all the other geysers around Old Faithful

Not a bad spot to eat lunch!

They had to find the name of each spring or geyser and if it didn't have a name, they gave it their own name

We found a bunch of Bison

We hiked to the lower fall of Yellowstone Falls.

It was quite a view of the canyon

Seeing the falls from a different view

We were pretty excited about it :)

It was a really fun family day!

Love how she loves to hold your hand

Anna had her first experience of corn on the cob, she is a fan (and pretty good at eating it off the cob!)

Micah gets to get on the bus with his buddy

Kindergym has started again and Anna gets to play this year (instead of go to the crawlers corner)! She is so like her older brother (who gets it from his father) in that things need to be orderly :) Notice the frogs all lined up. :)

Jonathan is pretty good at the balance beam (he is also an excellent summersaulter)

David just likes to swim like a monkey :)

Fun at the park with some friends (notice David is in a sweatshirt, Jonathan in sleeveless, silly boys)

Helping Mommy make pie crust for some peach pies

Love that she knows what to do with the oil :)

I made a new cupcake, s'more cupcakes- graham cracker cupcake filled with chocolate topped with marshmallow frosting. I used a cheat to try one, it was worth the cheat :)

I also got to make birthday cakes for my friend's girls. I realized I have never made a girl's cake. For Anna's first birthday I did cupcakes. It was so much fun!

This one when you cut into it had a rainbow of frosting for the filling.

David was very proud of his drawing. He has really gotten into drawing, particularly animals. Our walls are just filled with our kids' art :).

Lunch at Costco (for $2.50!), always fun!

They were pretty excited to finally get to wear their new pajamas as it went from summer to winter in one day :)

Helping Mommy make some frosting. He told me his nose would let us know when it was done :)

Cute little bunny

They thought their gloves were boxing gloves :)

He decided he needed a hat and scarf too (it really wasn't that cold :))

Of course after being outside in the cold you must come in and have hot chocolate!

I got to go to Nashville for a Getty Worship Conference on congregational singing and we got to have a hymn sing at the Grand Ole Opry, such an awesome night!!

I was sent to Nashville with lots of artwork to decorate my hotel room

Keith and Kristyn Getty, such wonderful gifts to the church!!

While I was having a wonderful time in Nashville my friends were graciously watching my children for me!

So blessed to have awesome friends!

 Back with my kiddos!

This is how Jonathan looks after eating an ice cream cone :)

She decided she needed the glasses and hat :)

Yesterday we did the Buddy walk for our friend Paige. The twins thought it meant they needed a buddy to walk with, so Jonathan picked Steve

And David picked me

And Anna was stuck with Mommy :). It didn't take long for the boys to decide it was more fun to run through the weeds and paths than hold mommy and daddy's hand :)

The mascot from the college by us was there cheering everyone on.

And now you are caught up with the Bussis family! Hopefully I'll do a better job keeping up from now on :) But with four busy kids, you just never know :)
