Fair warning, there are a LOT of pictures here :) Enjoy!!
Checking out our plane
She was pretty excited about her first airplane ride!
Checking all the safety features of our plane. Actually, Micah thought it was instructions on how to put the plane together :)
Jonathan got to sit by Daddy, and have his full attention for the whole flight, so he talked to him, the entire flight! :)
Mommy's flight buddy
They loved the people movers in Denver Airport
Micah of course had to go way ahead of us
Jonathan checking out the "instructions" he didn't notice they were upside down :)
Friday the kids and I headed to Coopersville to see some of our old friends, we had fun catching up with them.
And we decided we couldn't go to Coopersville and not get ice cream :)
We have made it to the Conference Grounds!! This was so cute, Micah and Jonathan rode with Steve's dad and David rode with us, when we got to the conference ground you would think David and Micah had been separated for days instead of just 20 minutes, they had this big hug when they saw each other :)
Our home for the week. Steve got to be the pastor for the week at the Conference Grounds so we got to stay in the Pastor's Cottage and his parents and siblings stayed in the cottage next to ours.
First stop after unpacking, the pool!!
David decided he didn't need anyone to catch him, he just jumped right in
Playing some Go Fish in the cottage
Shuffleboard, Micah's favorite game there (and he's pretty good, he legitimately beat me twice, which was how many time we played :))
Getting some ice cream, a must :)
Checking out the lake
My 4 little loves!!!
Looking all cute for church
Group shot of Steve's whole family! It was so nice that we could all be there to spend time together! My family hasn't all been together for almost 2 years so I know what a blessing it is to be able to all be together.
Sunday lunch with Steve's grandmas and all his siblings, very special
Hanging out with Grandma
Water gun war with Grandpa
And Uncle Dan
"Rest time"- the boys got to skip naps on vacation and instead just have a little "rest time"
Always ends up on her tummy
Playing some wiffleball
The twins had no interest in playing wiffleball, instead they just wanted to move the orange cones :)
Headed to town to go to the bread company and stopped at the toy store first, always a favorite of the boys
Eating our yummy bread
She didn't get to eat any bread but still had a smile on her face
Afterwards we went to the pier
The boys loved water the fishermen, especially this guy who was using a net. He would get a lot of little fish that needed to be thrown back in the water and he let the kids do that which they thought was pretty cool
Hanging out on the beach, very chill :)
The water was 56 degrees, he could care less :)
They got cold and just wanted to play in the sand
Blue Crew watching the water. Anna got this shirt from Steve's alma mater where his mom now works, so we had to get a picture for her
And then of course they had to have a picture together
I love how much he loves his sister
Eating breakfast in the cottage
More Go Fish
My grandparents were able to come visit us at the conference grounds. The last time they saw Anna was the morning after she was born, so she was a little bigger this time :).
We took the boys to play miniature golf one afternoon. Micah all ready to play
Jonathan usually just put his ball this close to the hole and hit it :)
Anna helped me keep score
We let the boys play some games after, which they were very excited about
More pool time
Back at the beach
That's a relaxed man
Jonathan fell off a chair and cut his head. Thankfully our brother-in-law who is an EMT was there and could look at it and assure us that we didn't need to take him to get stitches. The cut isn't as big as it looks, it's just the top 1/4 inch, but it was a good cut. Thankfully it didn't gush like heads wounds usually do.
All ready for VBS. They might not look like it, but they really loved going :)
These two looked a little more excited :)
Micah and his cousin got to play soccer which was something Micah was really looking forward to
Our friend Miss Barb came to visit us
Loved getting to spend time with Miss Barb again!
Going for a wagon ride!
Anna was pretty excited about her first wagon ride
The boys loved getting to go on bike rides with Grandma and Grandpa
Micah and Bentley playing shuffleboard with Grandma
They talked her into letting them get something at the candy store too :)
Steve and his Dad went kayaking one afternoon
More bike rides
We got to have a couple of camp fires, always a favorite of the boys
He loves s'mores!
Jonathan was very excited to get to hold the sign for his VBS class
They were very proud of their VBS creations
While at the toy store earlier in the week we bought a kite for the boys which was a very fun buy
Quite a background for flying a kite :)
David preferred to just hang out in the gazebo and watch the sail boat on the lake
One day we ate lunch at the grill
The twins wanted to play some shuffleboard too
Notice David's idea of playing was staking up the disks and pushing them all at once :)
Anna discovered she like the taste of her feet
David's favorite thing to do at the pool
Jonathan was sitting on a chair by the pool, saw me record David, got up and said "Mommy, record me," he got up, jumped in, sat back in the chair and said "Mommy, let me watch" :)
I love how they're such buddies
Steve's brother Dan wins the best uncle award. He let Micah and Bentley hang on him, push him under water, etc over and over again :) They would have stayed in the water until the sun went down if we let them
Anna just wanted to hang out with Grandma
Our cutie nephew Koen
Anna getting to spend some time with Grandpa too
They got to get some candy from the store, pretty exciting
David would have been happy riding this Lightening McQueen bike all day long.
Jonathan wanted Superman ice cream, not sure how it got on his check and forehead, but he sure enjoyed it
My cutie David
My fun little guys!!
And we're back at Grandpa and Grandma's, hanging out with Daddy
The boys were pretty excited to get to "help" Grandpa mow the lawn
Steve and I got to go out on a date thanks to Steve's parents being willing to watch the kids. It was nice to be able to have a conversation without being interrupted :)
We met up with them after dinner and went out one more time for ice cream (yes, we love ice cream and since we don't have an ice cream store by us here in Montana, we took full advantage of being around ice cream stores the whole time we were there).
How we rode there.
Our flight wasn't until late afternoon, so we were able to meet up with our friends Zach and Kasey and their kids for lunch
We had to wait out a storm, but then we pretty much had the place to ourselves
Old seminary roommates
Old college roommates. It was so great getting to catch up with them!!
And we're back on the plane
My flying buddy
All that flying wears her out
Going through Chicago airport with all our carry-ons. We managed to only check one bag and then just have carry-ons, so we had to depend on the boys to help pull them which they were more than willing to do. Well, the twins were, Micah's kind of a wimp and thought it was too heavy :).
All the kids did awesome with our travels which was wonderful! We had a great time visiting and when we came home to Montana it felt like we were really coming home. I remember when we moved to Michigan from California that it wasn't until I went back to California that Michigan felt like home. It was the same here, Montana truly feels like home which is a good feeling. But it's nice that we have such a wonderful place to visit as well :).
