Who's ready to lose?! :)

So I know that I have written before about the TerraFit challenges I've done, but I just want to tell you about it again. I did a 21 day challenge back in July during which I lost 8 pounds and it made me realize that I had a lot more weight I wanted to lose and I really do best when doing a challenge (the competitive side of me thrives on it :)). So I started a 12 week challenge on August 22 and so far I have lost 21.5 pounds!! My goal for the challenge was 25 pounds and I'm really hopeful I will make that by November 13! What I love about the TerraFit challenges is that it's not a diet, it's not starving yourself, but it's a healthy way to lose weight. I remember once someone asking me what I had to do, if it was juicing or what and my response was, well, you have to eat healthy and exercise! Go figure!! :) There's a healthy list and an unhealthy list, you get points for eating off the healthy list and have to deduct points for eating off the unhealthy list (anything not on those two lists is neutral and you just don't get points for them). And you eat six small meals a day instead of three big, so seriously, I'm rarely hungry. And I don't feel like I'm depriving myself. I mean, I don't eat sweets so in that way I guess I'm depriving myself, but since I feel so great I don't really feel deprived. You also get to have one cheat meal a week where you can eat 4 servings of something off the unhealthy list. And then they have great workout videos for you to do that help make you fit and strong! One of my favorite parts of this challenge is you are on a team and you're competing with other teams (hence how my competitive side thrives on this challenge :)). My team is doing awesome! A couple weeks ago we were in 5th place and this past week we pulled into 2nd place with 2 weeks to go. If we win first place, we all get to split around $1200!! So your team keeps you accountable, if you cheat it's not just effecting you, it's effecting your team.
So why am I telling you all this again? Well, I want to let you know about a couple different opportunities you have to lose big :). There is another 12 week challenge starting this coming Monday, November 7. The 12 week challenges are where you really lose weight. It's $25 but then you also need to either get the DVDs (which are $45) or subscribe to their Advantage website (which is $12 a month) that has all their workouts on it. And of course this challenge goes over Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. But if you want to do this one, I will be more than happy to help you find delicious meals you could serve during the holidays that won't make you lose points or gain weight (steak and potatoes anyone?).
The other option is a 4 week challenge starting November 21. This is a different challenge than I've don't before. It's called Burst and they have special workouts for you to do that are only 15 minutes long but really work you body so it continues burning calories throughout the day. But otherwise it's the same as the other challenges, you get points for healthy foods, deduct points for unhealthy food, get points for drinking enough water, eating enough vegetables, etc. This challenge is $20 and includes the Advantage website. I'm strongly considering doing this challenge myself. I would still like to lose around 8 more pounds and I REALLY don't want to gain any of this weight I lost back over the holidays. Now I know this one is over Thanksgiving, but for one, turkey and mashed potatoes that only have a little butter in them are totally okay, and you could use your cheat meal and have the stuffing and pie to go with it. :) And then it ends the week before Christmas. So if you would like to try out a challenge, this is a great one to start with. Or if you would rather lose weight during the holiday season instead of gain weight, this is a great one. :)
If you want to sign up for the November 7- 12 week challenge we need to get you signed up by Sunday. If you're interested in the November 21- 4 week challenge we'll have to wait till next week to sign up. If you have any questions, please let me know. I'm more than happy to help in any way you need. I can coach teams now (my first team I coached just finished their 21 day challenge and they got first place!!!) and I'm more than happy to help you with meal planning (I've done a total of 189 days of challenges, I've become kind of an expert on making meals that fit with the program :), and I'll tell you, they're delicious and you feel so much better after because it's all healthy, unprocessed food!).
So I guess the only thing left to ask is, are you ready to lose?! :)
