Life with the Bussis'- 5.27.15

It's been a fun week over here:
The twins eating their first meal at the table! They definitely are enjoying feeling like big boys at the table, along with the ability to get in and out of their chair all by themselves :)

We had our last Play 'N Learn of the school year on Thursday. We've come a long way since the first time we went and I had to sit by them. This time they jumped right in with the singing.

And got up close and personal when it was time for the story :) (That's David standing right in front there)

Micah practicing swatting flies (this came in handy on Saturday when we had the doors open a lot getting furniture in and out of our house and many flies decided to make themselves at home in our home)

Of course, their favorite station, the "sandbox"

Making some butterflies

Lunch at McDonalds afterwards with friends

After McDonalds we needed to go to Costco. Mental note, don't let David have any free samples containing chocolate! He's been drooling a lot lately (no idea why, he has the same amount of teeth as Micah so I don't think he's suppose to get any more any time soon) and so drool combined with chocolate mean a very messy shirt that unfortunately would not get clean even after 3 times of trying with stain remover! And of course this is the one shirt that all 3 boys have to match. Thankfully I was able to find another one online and it was now on clearance! :)

They were very good at Costco (and all morning), so they got treated to some frozen yogurt

Just chilling with Mommy

Steve had a Classis meeting Thursday so I let Micah pick what he wanted for dinner, he picked pancakes :). The boys thought it was pretty cool to get to eat breakfast for dinner

Getting a checkup after dinner from Dr. Micah

The boys are very into wearing sunglasses these days. I think it's just adorable :)

We decided it was finally time to replace our couches. They were the couches I had bought 9 years ago when I moved into my apartment at Providence Christian College and they had definitely been abused in the past 4 years (by our boys, not Steve & I :)) so it was time. We went to a furniture store that was having a great Memorial Day sale and found some nice cheap couches that will work well for us. The boys did amazingly well while we looked at couches and paid for them, mostly thanks to the balloons a worker gave them. :)

Our new couches!!! And now the fun begins, retraining the boys that they're not suppose to jump on these couches :)

Jonathan insists on wearing his sunglasses upside-down

We decided to stick our old couches out by the road with a for sale sign on them to see if anyone would be interested. If they didn't sell by after lunch we were going to just bring them to Good Will. About 20 minutes before we were going to load them up into a truck the mail came and the substitute mail lady decided to buy them!

One last picture on the love seat!

Sunday night we were going to have a hot dog roast at our house after church. So we brought our little picnic table up from the basement to put out so they younger kids could eat on it. These 3 were very excited to roast hot dogs, and especially do s'mores. Unfortunately it started raining during church and was still raining after church, so we had to move our hot dog roast to the fellowship hall with no fire :).

There was still threat of rain on Monday, but we decided to chance it and went to the Whitecaps Game (minor league baseball). It did rain a couple of times, but only for 2 minutes and never very hard, and we had come prepared with umbrellas.

Micah wasn't going to let a little rain ruin his fun

And the twins could really care less if they got wet, they just liked climbing on and off the chairs :)

And like I said, the rain never lasted long, and then the sun would come out (Steve described it as the weather was schizophrenic :))

Since the game was during naptime, these boys fell asleep in the car after the game on the way to Steve's parents :). After a quick snooze in the car they got to spend the evening playing at Grandpa and Grandma's. All in all, they had a very fun day!

Micah loves to help with "the brothers" as he refers to them. Here he's getting them their syrup for their waffles.

We went to JoAnn's this morning and we had to wait a little while while they tried to find what I wanted that it had said on the internet they had :) David obviously found it too sunny inside for his liking :)

They never could find what I wanted to we had to wait some more while they called another store to see if they had it. As you can see they just made themselves right at home (eventually Jonathan also had his shoes off and David was trying to get his off :)).
Never a dull moment with these guys!
